Content of the Network

The association states and follows the following aspects – priorities in order to promote its goals:

  • Development of an interactive environment (using all the appropriate tools, including technology) allowing a Stochastic Dialogue between educators and other specialists in order to find terms and definitions in the Greek language.
  • Early identification, sensible recognition of children with outstanding ability.
  • Supportive educational programmes.
  • Extra-curricular activities.
  • Curriculum development and database for Gifted Talented students’ educational needs.
  • Workshops on Network-Framework-Databank using technology.
  • The employment of online education methods.
  • Teachers’ training seminars and programmes.
  • Online teachers’ training programmes.
  • Usage of both educational and communicational technologies.
  • Development of educational, communicational and cultural activities.

For the development of the above programmes there are several important aspects that should be considered, including the following:

  • Collaboration for the production of specialised educational material aimed to educate Gifted Talented students.
  • Organisation of educational training seminars to support teachers in employing new educational methods and more productive procedures.
  • On-line programmes on education technology.
  • Semantic Web Educational Environment.
  • Issues from the classical literature.
  • Research on the impact of the study of Giftedness on the development of Intelligence Tutoring Systems with Artificial Intelligence techniques.
  • Databases for Mathematics.
  • Educational software for enrichment of the curriculum.
  • Programs like Harmony for supporting the talented students in art.
  • Summer school for Gifted Talented students providing a suitable environment for them.
